Travel West...

End of Summer Vacation
As Fall approaches consider taking a vacation to unwind and prepare
for the heavy holiday schedule.
Don't let the following reasons be excuses:

- Kids returning to school
- Just got a promotion don't want to rock the boat
- Can't afford to travel
- Has no one to travel with on a vacation

Consider recharging your mental and emotional battery by taking a four day weekend with family or friends.  Keep in mind the hotels, resorts and cruise lines have fantastic deals for the thirty traveler.  Another grand idea is to locate a local luxury hotel and check in for a long weekend.  The cost may equal the expenses of travel and local attractions.

  1. Dearest Stephanie,

Long time since we 'met' and talking about taking a four-day weekend with family or friends. That happened to us in September. On the 2nd my friends from The Netherlands arrived in Atlanta and that morning my husband had a heart attack... Turned out he needed a quadruple bypass and an angioplasty stent in his neck as his main artery was blocked for 90% and he had a total of 8 blockages. Very severe and so unexpected!
Our best friend went to the airport to pick up the friends. I had to cancel our trip via the Blue Ridge Pkwy to the North East and from there into Canada to visit our friends' family there. No vacation but the surgery went fine and after four days of 'vacation' in the hospital my true love was back home!
One never knows what's around the bend...

Sunny greetings from the heart of Georgia,
